Canal Boat Trip

n Tuesday 12th July Past President Norman Ellenby and


his sister Linda accompanied a group of pupils and teachers from Dycorts School on the annual canal boat trip organised by our club.


n a very fine day Norman and


Linda travelled to Harlow on the school mini-bus with the very excited children. Once aboard, the children who all have special needs (and the adults) had great fun taking it in turns to steer the boats (not an easy thing to do) with varying degrees of success and they also helped to open and close the lock gates.

ll those on the trip had a great


time and we received a letter of thanks from Dennis Murphy, the

teacher who organizes things at the school end, together with a booklet of thank you letters and drawings from the children.
