The Rotary Club of Chelmer Bridge Mark Bows out in Style M

ark Evans ended his year as President of Chelmer

Bridge in style. His ladies night was held in the grand Shire Hall in the centre of Chelmsford, a splendid setting for a dinner and dance.

B I

rian and Jan, Geoff and Gerrie together with

myself and Janet were very comfortable in the company of our friends from Chelmer Bridge and we were hosted by Past President John Dines and his charming wife

n the impressive banquet hall we ate well, drank fine wine and during the meal we were entertained by a

singer who wandered around the tables. After the formal speeches by Mark

and the reply by District Governor Bob Barclay (a member of this fine club) we danced the evening away to the medleys of some nostalgic songs of the 50‟s and 60s.

A

ll in all a very enjoyable evening, and our own Bert

Evans would have been very proud of his son who was supported on the night by his mother Ann, his wife Sue and his daughter Katie.
