built-in sound and lighting, which is very convenient for a wide variety of meetings, events, presentations and more. The space has high ceilings and is very flexible, too. “Planners like that they don’t have to bring a whole lot in by way of the production side of things. It makes meetings here very easy to create and plan.”
She added that many of the people who hold meetings and events at World Café Live want to incorporate music into their program in some way. “Some will bring in live bands while others elect to hold a more interactive event like a karaoke night, or they might all might take part in the Playstation game Rock Band.”
These karaoke and Rock Band events are perfect as team building experiences, too. “Holding a fun event like this helps people to relax and enjoy themselves, but it also really brings people together,” said McHale.
Adding live music to an event really changes its whole tone and feel, though. According to McHale, “When people bring in live entertainment, such as a live band, and incorporate it into the event, that turns the tide from what would otherwise be a straight-up corporate meeting to a true cel- ebration.”
