DELAWARE Wilmington - Sara Garnett has joined the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau as their new Director of Sales. She previ- ously worked at the historic Inn at Montchanin Village and Spa, Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites in Newark.


MARYLAND Ellicott City - Taffy Rice was named Director of Sales for Howard County Tourism & Promotion.


NEW JERSEY Cherry Hill - Seasons 52 Restaurant and wine bar has named John F. Piper as Executive Chef Partner and Phyllis Bowen, Field Sales Manager.


East Windsor - Americana Hospitality Group, which manages and owns restaurants and ban- quet venues in Central and Northern New Jersey, announced several promotions and additions. Dan Caputo was named Chief Financial Officer; Jeff McNamara was appointed to the position of President for AHG after a successful turn as Head of Culinary Development; and Vinnie DiNatale was named Director of Marketing. DiNatale brings with him years of marketing experience from positions he has held in Delaware and Pennsylvania.


Mahwah - Recognizing the need to incorporate environmental sustainability into ground trans- portation, President & COO of Flyte Tyme Worldwide Transportation, Timothy Rose, has adopted an environmental management system to meet industry and procurement standards for corporate clients by achieving greenhouse gas emissions reductions from their entire business operation. Its fleet of vehicles will help accom- plish this through a combination of fuel efficiency and a transition to new technologies.


PENNSYLVANIA Ambler - Karen Ferry has been named Event Specialist at Talamore and Applecross Country Clubs.


Lahaska - Peddler’s Village has appointed Christine Niessen to the position of Sales Manager. Niessen will be responsible for new business development for the historic 70-room Golden Plough Inn and Peddler’s Village Destination Sales.


Malvern - Thomas Macrina, CEC, CCA, HGT, AAC and Executive Chef at Desmond Great Valley Hotel and Conference Center, received the Chef Educator/Executive Chef award in the Academy of Culinary Arts category from the American Culinary Federation. Additionally, Kevin Kessler has returned to the Desmond Hotel and is responsible for Catering Sales.


Philadelphia - The Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority elect- ed Gregory J. Fox as its new Board Chairman. Fox is a partner at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP. The Board of PCCA also re-elected Carl Singley as Vice Chair.


Philadelphia - GEP Philly recently appointed Lisa Cheresnowsky to the position of Operations Manager.


Shawnee on Delaware - Tara Brinker has been named Guest Service and Community Relations Manager for the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.


VIRGINIA Leesburg - Lansdowne Resort has named Kim Martinez its Director of Sales.


McLean - Stephanie Snapkoski has been named Director Sales and Marketing for Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.


White Sulphur Springs - Todd Gillespie has been promoted to Vice President of Sales and Robert Mickey to Senior Resort Manager for The Greenbrier.


WASHINGTON, DC


Destination Hotels & Resorts announced a new management team at The Madison. Jim Horsman was named Managing Director, Gavin Phillip was appointed Hotel Manager, and Doug Camp was named Director of Sales and Marketing. Camp joins The Madison from Washington’s historic Hay-Adams, where he was the Director of Sales and Marketing for seven years.
