Minnetonka ECFE 2010-11 ECFE Parent & Child Classes


Through ECFE, parents and children, take classes together that promote interaction and teach parenting techniques. Our program seeks to involve parents in their child’s education right from the start. Not only are they a child’s first and most important teacher, but research shows when parents are involved, children do better later in school. Children must be the age indicated by Sept. 1, 2010 (requirement does not apply to Baby & Me classes). ECFE class fees are determined by an income-based sliding scale. See page 9 for details.


Baby & Me Birth to 12 months


Meet other parents and enjoy time with your new baby. Spend the entire class together, engaged in sensory and movement activities and a discussion led by a licensed parent educator. Learn about your baby’s growth and development.

As your baby grows, you encounter a world of new experiences and milestones together. Start your morning connecting with others experiencing the joys and challenges of parenting. Class time will be split between parent-child play and an educator-led discussion

If you’ve covered the basics with your other children, register for a class that tackles the topic of growing families. Enjoy one- on-one time with your child and join other “veteran” parents to learn about sibling relationships and family dynamics.
