Fitness Stott Pilates Essential Mat


This introduction to Stott Pilates is for those individuals who are new to Pilates-based exercise or for those needing a review of the basics. This class will cover the five principles of the Stott method and a selection of exercises designed to lengthen and strengthen the core muscles of the body. Options will be offered to accommodate postural and physical limitations. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel and a pilates mat to class. Sorry, no drop-ins. No class Jan. 17, Feb. 21.

Stott Pilates Essential Mat Plus This is a great step to take between the Essential & Intermediate/Advanced classes.

class for those with postural or physical limitations who should not include the intermediate/advanced material in their workouts. We will maintain the flow and pace of the complete Essential workout PLUS add variety and intensity with Flex-Bands®, fitness circles and stability and Toning Balls®. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel and mat to class. Participants are encouraged to have Pilates experience or have completed the Essential Mat class. Drop-ins welcome at $15 per class. No class Jan. 17, Feb. 21.

Stott Pilates Intermediate/Advanced Mat This more challenging mat workout will allow you to utilize all the exercises from Essential Mat and will add more difficult, deep conditioning exercises. We will utilize balls, bands and fitness circles. Because the work is progressive in nature, participants must have completed an introductory mat class to register for Intermediate/Advanced Mat. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel and a pilates mat to class. Drop-ins are welcome at $15 per class. No class Jan. 17, Feb. 21.

Peggie Zoerhof, owner of The Intelligent Body, brings dedication, excellence and enthusiasm as well as 20 years of fitness education and experience to her Pilates classes. She was among the first Stott certified instructors in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and is one of few to study under the direction of the program creator, Moira Stott. Peggie also has Pink Ribbon Certification.
