Explore the Windows 7 operating system and become familiar with organizing Desktop icons, the Start button and Start menu, the taskbar and components of a typical window. We will delve into operating system accessories, including WordPad, to examine common program features. You’ll be introduced to the Control Panel and changing mouse properties and display properties.

Windows Movie Maker
Are you ready to put your home movies on CD, the Web, or even on TV? Would you like to set your vacation video to music, enhancing it with effects and narration? Or maybe you would like to create a fast and easy slide show for your still shots? You can do it all with Windows Movie Maker, a FREE program from Microsoft. Bring your own images and video on CD or Flash drive (at least 50 photos if you are doing a slide show), as well as a blank CD or Flash drive to save your project. Prerequisite: Windows.

Windows File Management
Are you having trouble finding files on your hard drive, backing-up important data or understanding the difference between a folder and a file? In this class, you will jump into the hard drive, create folders and then move and copy files into those folders. Finally, you will practice deleting, sorting and renaming files and learn how to maneuver within Windows Explorer. Prerequisite: Windows 7.
