Learn-to-Dive Lessons Ages 6+

Beginner Level - This class is a basic introduction to 1 meter springboard diving. The focus of this class is to teach the fundamentals of diving so that new divers can build their skills in a safe and fun way. We will cover the basic skills of front and back approaches, forward dives and somersaults, and back dives.

Intermediate Level - This class is designed for participants who have some previous experience in springboard diving, and are familiar with both front and back approaches. Intermediate level divers should be comfortable with performing front dives, front somersaults and back dives. In this class divers will learn the basics of front and back somersaults, twisting dives, and inward dives. We will also work on refining technique, and starting a 6-dive competitive list.

Advanced Level - This class is designed to prepare divers to perform at a competitive level. Advanced level divers should be comfortable performing front and back dives and somersaults, inward dives, and twisting dives. In this class participants will learn several dives with high degrees of difficulty, including front 1½ and double somersaults, reverse dives and dives with a full twist. Divers will also learn the rules of competitive diving, and how a competitive diving meet is run. We will also work on developing 6 and 11 dive lists to fully prepare divers for a future in high school or club diving.
