Join us for a look at the First World War from the trenches in France to the breakup of the Ottoman Empire. We will explore the fighting on the Western Front and the changes made in warfare at the dawn of the 20th century. Witness an extensive slideshow of trench warfare as it is preserved today in France as we try to gain an understanding of how that war was actually fought. We will also discuss the war in Arabia and the changes that occurred as a result of the Paris Peace Treaty of 1919. Youth age 15 and older may register when accompanied by a registered guardian.

Greening Your Home


Greening Your Home introduces basic environmental challenges you may face in your home and offers simple, easy-to-understand solutions. Learn about your home’s ecological footprint and find out how to reduce it, explore ways to use the three R’s – reduce, reuse, and recycle – to save money and the planet, and discover how to conserve water and energy in your home. You’ll also be shown how your home could be harboring toxins and, if so, how to get rid of them. After reading Greening Your Home, you will know the tips, tricks and techniques you need to “go green” at home! Cost of text included in registration fee.
