Watercolor Studio with Barbara Boulka Explore the many ways to use watercolor, including realistic images, collage, abstract, intuitive, wet into wet, negative painting, pouring paint and combining watercolor with other water media. Paint in a relaxing and fun atmosphere. Learn at your own pace. Continuing and beginning students welcome. Patterns provided. A supply fee of $15 will be collected by the instructor during the first class. No class Feb. 18, March 4, 18.
Twined Rag Rug Weaving
Learn a creative way to recycle old clothing or extra fabric. In class you will assemble a loom, warp it and learn weaving techniques. We will discuss removal of the rug from the loom and finishing touches. Leave class with a loom and a twined rag rug. Bring sharp scissors and a yard of any type of fabric. Some sample fabric will be supplied by the instructor. A $25 supply fee will be collected by the instructor at the first class.

Sewing Fun For Kids and Adults! Learn the basics of machine sewing and discover a new skill that will allow you to create useable, handmade clothing, décor and gifts. Our simple, in-class project (a pillowcase) will teach you:
• The basic parts of a sewing machine • How to install and thread a needle • The art of sewing straight stitches • How to make seams • Hand sewing techniques (hemming and basting stitches)
Perfect for ages 8 and up. Must bring your own sewing machine. Visit our website for a list of supplies to bring to class.

Painting with Acrylic and Oil
Learn to create a composition, apply paint and increase your understanding of color theory. Demonstrations and presentations will be made in the initial sessions. Your instructor, Michele Combs, will help each person on an individual basis. Michele trained at the Minnesota River School of Fine Arts and has led workshops with numerous artists throughout the country.

Pottery I & II
This is a combined class for both beginner and more advanced students. Beginners will learn basic hand-building pottery techniques including pinch, coil and slab and wheel- thrown pottery techniques including kneading, centering and throwing. Advanced students will be challenged to advance their skills in each technique. A supply fee of $30 is payable to the instructor in class, which includes clay, tools, glazes and firing. No class Feb. 21.
