Nutrition & Wellness Absolutely Abdominals


Learn how to strengthen and flatten your abdominals quickly and effectively. There are many reasons why your abs can weaken and lose shape: past pregnancies, abdominal surgery, sitting for hours a day at a desk, etc. In class we will:


• Strengthen abdominal muscles and re-shape your waistline without getting on the floor.


• Regain control of abdominal muscles that have been cut from surgery.


• Relieve lower back discomfort. • Strengthen abdominals from the inside out. • Discuss how to get rid of bloating and water retention.


Don't waste time doing abdominal crunches. Come and learn how to strengthen and flatten your abdominals quickly, effectively and in a very functional way. Come prepare to exercise and bring a mat.


Janice has a Masters Degree in Health & Physical Education. She is an internationally acclaimed author, speaker and wellness consultant who teaches workshops and seminars for hospitals, corporations and professional organizations. Janice regularly presents health segments on television and radio, including a guest spot on the Oprah Winfrey Show discussing her book, Posture, Get It Straight!

Balanced Foods for Balanced Moods


Reduce negative moods, increase energy, enhance positive thoughts, improve memory and manage stress through balanced eating and real foods. Learn the biochemical connection to cravings and how poor intestinal health creates low moods. Choose foods to optimize production of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and watch your mood swings disappear. This course qualifies for 2.4 continuing education credits for registered nurses.

Is it harder for you to maintain or lose weight than it once was? Have you tried several diets, but had trouble keeping the weight off? Learn how eating real foods can help you lose weight, eliminate cravings and increase energy. This course qualifies for 2.4 continuing education credits for registered nurses.

Learn very specific exercises to straighten your shoulders, flatten your upper back, strengthen lower back and all four layers of abdominal muscles. You will learn tips and techniques that will improve alignment immediately. We will discuss back-friendly ways to adjust your computer workstations or desk, how to adjust your car seat to help your posture, beneficial sleeping/resting/reading positions, and much more. A $5 supply fee will be collected by the instructor in class.
