Fri 17th September 2010
T T
he highlight of the evening was a slide presentation and talk about
the Matching Grant Project to help the Street Children of Brazil, given by the Andreas Menzel.
he summary was prepared by Hans Rode and Andres and a full
translation of the talk plus photo- graphs is available and will be prepared for distribution to members at a later date.)
A
t the conclusion of the meal we said our goodbyes and wandered
off to our hotel well after midnight.
After a fantastic breakfast at the hotel we assembled for a guided, walking tour of Berlin (given by the so efficient and well organised Hans).
Beware of strange men
loitering outside strange toilets! The Tomb to the Unknown Soldier was both impressive, moving and was represented with a mother cradling her dying son.
