AN EMOTIONAL VISIT WORKING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN

he Year 12 Diploma in Childcare and Education level 2 class went on a visit to Marlow Opportunity Play Group which specialises in providing

care for children with a variety of particular needs. During the visit they had an introduction into the day to day care and planning of the provision. After the introduction the girls each went and joined an adult and child where they were given the opportunity to fully interact to meet the child’s needs. This was an emotional but worthwhile visit to support the teaching of Unit 9, Working with Special Needs.
