letter from the publisher A
nother 20/20 Magazine - another year passes.
A magazine of vision, we try to look into the future to see what Jersey will be like in the year 2020. Our vision may prove to be less than 2020, but we hope that we have again homed in on some of the subjects closest to Islanders' hearts in this year of 2016, the home being one of them.
Not surprisingly, all things digital are increasingly craving our attention, and the aspirations of the government and industry to ensure Jersey benefits from these developments are featured.
So this magazine looks at several aspects of the digital revolution, as well as the continuing growth of financial services as the breadwinner of many Islanders.
St Helier also plays an important part in all our lives, and this edition of our magazine considers its future as a place to live, work and visit.
Once again we assess how Jersey is meeting the challenges facing our environment, and we investigate the pros (and a few cons) of employee share ownership.
This is all rounded off with a wide range of Islanders telling us what they do during an average day at work.
We hope that you enjoy the 2016 edition of 20/20 Magazine.
