Digital. RIGHT HERE. RIGHT NOW. By Emily Le Hegarat, Education & Business Technical Consultant at iQ
The digital age is here and now. This is not a thing of the future. Today’s children are already embracing technology for both leisure and learning, charging ahead and creating an ever-increasing technological gap between those generations who actively keep up and engage with digital frontiers and those who choose to keep their head in the sand or are happy to simply be off-line
iQ, the Channel Islands’ only Apple Premium Reseller and Authorised Service Provider, are fully aware of this and as such have been working with local schools, individuals and businesses to help release the potential of the technology available to us.
iQ already offer official one-to-one or group training and support for home, business and education purposes, from setting up equipment, bespoke training and IT consultations to helping with music and visual creativity topics. What’s more, they also organise bigger events which celebrate technology - for example last year over 90 teachers and local education professionals attended a special Apple Learning
Event hosted by iQ, designed to share how technology can be utilised within the classroom, transforming and enhancing the learning experience across the curriculum.
The Apple Education Day incorporated several interactive workshops, hosted by both industry experts, local educators and their students, who wished to share their experience and demonstrate how technology has transformed their learning environment to create fun and instigative lessons.
