SOME QUESTIONS FOR JONNY:

Question: What do you do to unwind at the end of a long day?

Answer: I've never been that great at 'winding down' as I'm quite fidgety! Since being in the show though I've started to watch it regularly so on the nights it's on I'm in and on the sofa. The other nights I'm out and about.

Question: What do you like most about being an Actor? Answer: It's very different to anything I've done. Everyday is different on EastEnders which is great because it keeps the job fresh and challenging.

schedule a week at a time so as soon as I have my schedule I can plan the following week. The fact that London runs on spontaneity is a life saver, there's always stuff going on and new places to explore. Having gone to a performing college called 'Doreen Bird' for three years in London I have a strong network of friends close by…

The day usually ends with a glass of wine... I suppose that part rings true with a lot of actors.

Question: What do you most dislike about being an Actor? Answer: In a show like EastEnders, when you're in people's living room four times a week, some viewers believe your character's beliefs and actions to be an extension of yourself. Therefore you can become directly exposed to people opinions. The funny thing is that, for example if you are meant to play a hatable character and people send you hate letters, you're doing a good job. Therefore I never take any of the negative opinions about a character to heart as I'm very different characteristically to Paul. I also love how much the fans care.

Question: How did you become an Actor? Answer: I've acted my whole life along side dance and singing but the realisation of focusing on acting alone came about when I managed to get cast in a film off the back of doing my first ever workshop for T.V. and Film. I was lucky enough to play the lead role of David in Leon Lopez's film 'Softlad' and although it was all shot in seven days it changed my whole perception of where I potentially saw myself.

Question: What advice would you give someone, either just starting their career or midway through their career, who wants to be an Actor?

Answer: WORKSHOPS and SHOWREELS. They compliment each other in terms of networking and giving you material to show potential casting directors. Try and be as diverse as possible, the more you can do the more employable you are as a product.
