VII ACOLAP Meeting Latin American industry converges in Colombia

Astrid González Nariño reports from last month’s Meeting and Expo of the Colombian Amusement and Attractions Parks Association (ACOLAP) – one of the most important industry guilds of Latin America
operations, and marketing issues. The meeting was inaugurated by Gerardo Arteaga, chairman of the board at IAAPA. He noted that the association has grown significantly internationally in the last 10 years, supporting the industry in areas such as education, security and support, mainly through its regional offices in North America (Orlando), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Europe (Brussels) and Latin America (Mexico). He revealed that the organisation represents nearly 5,000 companies from 93 countries around the world that are attractions with a permanent location, such as theme parks, waterparks, family entertainment centres (FEC), zoos , aquariums, museums, science centres and resorts. years, noted Gerardo, with an increase of 30% in Latin America, which overall is expected to grow at a more moderate rate. In fact, IAAPA is conducting its own Latin American Economic Impact Study, together with a report on security in Latin America games and a database and inventory of games in the region.

VII Encuentro de ACOLAP En Cartagena, Colombia, tuvo lugar una cumbre de expertos, denominada “Hacia un modelo de servicio sostenible para la industria de los parques de diversiones”, organizada por la Asociación Colombiana de Parques de Atracciones y Diversiones, ACOLAP, uno de los más importantes gremios de la industria en América Latina. Los temas más relevantes, tratados durante el VII Encuentro de ACOLAP fueron: seguridad, mejores prácticas, estrategias relacionadas con la operación de los parques, así como estrategias de marketing.
