Merlin gets wheel on International Drive I-Drive 360

Merlin Entertainments made its official Orlando debut last month with the opening of three new attractions on International Drive. The Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life aquarium are all key parts of the offering at I-Drive 360, a new $200 million (€177 million) dining and entertainment destination

water show. O Standing 400 feet high (122m), or nearly 100ft taller than the Statue of Liberty,

The Orlando Eye by Intamin is the tallest observation wheel on the US East Coast. Similar to London’s world-famous landmark, but without the original design, the observation wheel provides guests with the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of Central Florida in fully enclosed, air-conditioned glass capsules. There are 30 capsules in total, each with the capacity to hold 15 passengers and all wheelchair accessible. The serene journey on the Eye allows passengers to take in a unique

perspective of the area including nearby theme parks and attractions, the downtown Orlando skyline, lakes and lush landscape and – if it's a clear day – Cape Canaveral on Florida’s East Coast. As with the London Eye, the attraction also includes a 4D pre-show, in this case showcasing a 3D aerial journey of Central Florida. The ride on the wheel itself lasts one revolution, taking 20 minutes. The world’s most famous celebrity wax attraction comes to Florida with the

arrival of Madame Tussauds Orlando, featuring lifelike replicas of entertainment icons Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson, pop princesses Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, and up to 75 more. There are no ropes or barriers at Madame Tussauds, so visitors can touch, be photographed and interact with the
