The Orlando Eye is not the tallest observation wheel in the world, but for now it is the tallest in the eastern United States. Here are some of the other noteworthy rides around the world – past, present and proposed:

figures. The 25,000-square-feet (2,323 sq m) attraction features themed rooms including A-List Party, History & Leaders, Sports, Music, Authentic History and more, including a retail store. Sea Life Orlando offers beautiful displays of colourful
fish, sharks, jellies, sea horses, rays, sea turtles and more. As part of Merlin’s “Midway” attraction portfolio, it offers a cheaper and quicker (60 to 90 minutes) alternative to SeaWorld further along International Drive. Winding tunnels, floor-to-ceiling and bubble aquaria and cold water rock pools introduce visitors to more than 5,000 sea animals.
Combination tickets are available covering all three Merlin attractions together with Legoland Florida in Winter Haven, a bus to which is available to those buying their tickets at I-Drive 360. The latter option is $99/94 + tax (adults/children). The Eye alone is $25/20, or $5 less if booked online in advance. But Merlin does not have the site all to itself. A fourth
attraction, Skeletons: Animals Unveiled! exhibits over 400 real skeletons. Posed in never-before-seen poses and dioramas, they give visitors with “a whole new respect for the animal kingdom.” Guests can also examine extreme natural deformities like two-headed calves, and get up close with human skeletons.
Sea Life Orlando Supplementing these family-friendly offerings are the
Arcade City games area, chain restaurants including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabbas’ Italian Grill, Yard House, Buffalo Wild Wings and Shake Shack, along with one-off establishments such as Tapa Toro, Naru, Paramount Fine Foods and Sugar Factory. High energy entertainment is on tap at Tin Roof and Cowgirls Rockbar featuring Orlando’s only mechanical bull (who knew?)
