New F&B at Walt Disney World Disney Springs takes shape
Walt Disney World Guests can find hot summer fashion trends and cool new waterfront restaurants at Downtown Disney as the entertainment and dining district evolves into Disney Springs. New retail stores include Sanuk, APEX by Sunglass Hut, Havaianas, Erin
McKenna Bakery NYC and more, as well as new dining experiences such as The Boathouse and Morimoto Asia, which will open this coming fall. Schussler Creative, specialist in the
creation and consultation of attractions, restaurants, retail stores and entertainment venues, conceived The Boathouse, pictured right). It is an upscale, waterfront dining experience featuring dream boats of the 1930s, '40s and '50s. The restaurant is designed with nautically-themed rooms including The Runabout, Twin Transoms and The Lake House. Disney Springs, offering a somewhat more
family-focused offering than Downtown Disney, will be complete in 2016.

Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
New guest accommodation arrives at Walt Disney World this summer in the shape of the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Each of 360 studios sleeps up to five and features
tropical décor complete with striking prints, bamboo- style fixtures, a hidden pull-down bed and a split bathroom perfect for families. Then there’s 20 over- the-water bungalows, as seen below, two- bedroom/bathroom properties sleeping up to eight guests. Amenities include a full kitchen, two bedrooms complete with flat panel televisions, split bathrooms, washer and dryer, two hidden pull-down beds featuring playful artwork, a private plunge pool on the back deck, and many other special touches. Nestled along the shore of the Seven Seas Lagoon, the resort is a quick monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom park and steps away from the amenities of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, one of the original WDW hotels.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has implemented some new dining and entertainment offerings as park continues to undergo the largest expansion in its history ahead of the 2017 arrival of Avatar. Harambe Marketplace, seen here, a new quick-service food and beverage location offering street-inspired dishes.
Meanwhile Donald Duck, Daisy Duck
and their friends now welcome guests for a fun-filled character dinner at the park’s Tusker House Restaurant. It seems there’s some animals you can’t escape from no matter where you are at Walt Disney World.
Grog Grotto
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is one of the new additions at the re-imagined Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (see left). Located off the Great Ceremonial House, the themed lounge serves exotic drinks and small plates, while offering scenic views of the marina and Seven Seas Lagoon. The new Orlando outlet bears some similarities to the original Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel in California. Guests are welcomed to Trader Sam’s, a South Seas hideaway, to explore a menu full of “magical tropical drinks and food.”
