harsh winter with very low temperatures and snow, however the Gentile family and the Mack company pulled together to achieve the earliest possible date to finish the project. "Working with the Mack family has been a wonderful


experience; they've helped make this new coaster process move very smoothly," says Steven Gentile. “For us, as a family-owned company, it’s always great to


work with parks that are also operated by a family,” adds Röser. “The communication between Long Island and our head office in the Black Forrest has been really great. This passion is what we share as manufacturer with the Gentile family.”

St Petersburg With the opening of Turbulence, Mack has now completed a total of five spinning coasters, with more on the way in the next 12 months for IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai and Busch Gardens Tampa, Florida. But a real hit for the German manufacturer has been its Blue Fire launch coaster, which has clocked up five units in the six years since the original was introduced at Europa-Park in 2009. There’s also a similar ride, but with a standard chain lift instead of a launch, at Etnaland in Italy. The latest such launch coaster
