Sonic hedgehog flies high
UK entertainment service provider IFE Services has signed a brand-new deal that will enable it to offer more video games to airline passengers. The company has signed an
agreement with inflight games specialist, GUE Tech, which has an exclusive catalogue of 160 games from the PlayStation, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, Android and iOS technology platforms. The range includes iconic games such as Warm Up, Fallout, Worms, Redneck Rampage, Gun Metal and Alone in the Dark, which have sold millions of copies on the ground, and
are now available to airlines to license for the first time. The games have been tested on all major embedded IFE systems. Miami-based GUE Tech first hit the headlines in March this year when it licensed 15 games to Singapore Airlines for its ‘Red Eye Games Collection’. IFE Services, which currently
provides IFE content to 43 airlines globally, is now working closely with GUE Tech to bring its games to a wider market. Andy McEwan, ceo IFE Services,

have access to the highest quality in-flight games on the market and cannot wait to demonstrate them to airlines all over the world. Inflight games provider, DTI, has signed an agreement with entertainment giant SEGA to supply some of the world’s most well-known titles to airlines. The portfolio includes several games from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage 3. DTI, a subsidiary of Global Eagle Entertainment, provides entertainment to more than 100 airlines and has signed a licensing agreement for over a dozen of SEGA’s games which can all be played on Android-based seat-back and portable inflight entertainment platforms, as well as legacy systems. The games will be featured
in DTI’s Elite Brands Collection, its new collection of premium branded games for airlines and add to company’s existing catalogue of over 70 Android based games. Alexis Steinman, md, of DTI

Gogo floats its shares
Gogo has floated 11 million shares on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Priced at $15-$17 a piece, the floatation aimed to raise $165-187 million in an initial public offering. Gogo is a global leader of inflight connectivity and a pioneer in wireless inflight
