T A L E N T Got anything to declare?

Everyone loves a success story and at Onboard Hospitality we have been excited to see just how successful small specialist companies can be once they make their mark onboard a plane, train or cruise line. We like to think that some of these innovative little companies, individuals or products were first recognised within the pages of our magazine and with this in mind we are launching an initiative to find more of them - the faces of tomorrow in our industry. Is there a young person in your company who deserves recognition for his or her commitment, fresh thinking and innovation? Do you have a product which took your company sky high? It’s time to share their story! Onboard Hospitality is on the lookout for young people, young companies or young products which really stand out! Simply send us their photo and job description and reasons why you think they deserve the onboard industry’s recognition. We will do the rest! Please send your suggestions to: julie.baxter@onboardhospitality.com

NOW THIS IS WHAT WE CALL A SUCCESS! MOMA!

Tom Mercer launched MOMA! in 2006 because he thought there was a real gap in the market for a healthy on-the-go breakfast. He started trading from a stall made from an old filing cabinet, selling to train passengers as they walked through Waterloo Station. A few years later,Tom turned up at our offices in Croydon with a huge box of his healthy and delicious Moma! wholegrain porridge pots. We all thought this was the sure way to success and devoured the lot. We reviewed his porridge in Onboard Hospitality and the rest is history.

Tom's expanded product range is now offered as part of a tray set and as a buy-on- board product. His customers include

British Airways, easyJet and East Coast trains. www.momafoods.co.uk

Love Da Popcorn

Christian Hartman, Martin McLaughlin and Tom Callard are a quirky trio who first came to prominence on the entrepreneurial show Dragon’s Den. Their fresh popcorn brand comes with a story and their marketing has been zany and refreshing. Now they have secured a major deal to supply 20g boxes of popcorn to all easyJet flights. Hartmann said: “This isn’t just a business, it's an adventure we want people to be a part of, and it just got a whole lot more exciting. www.lovedawebsite.com
