3. HIKE, BIKE, CANOE... IN JASPER NATIONAL PARK With outdoor treasures everywhere you look and so many ways to experience them, Jasper National Park is an amazing place to spend the day exploring with your family as you wish! Go on a bicycle ride, take a hike, head out on the lake by boat or canoe, play a friendly game of tennis or perfect your swing at the driving range – they’re all included with the Summer Resort Activities Card* you’ll receive by traveling with Tauck Bridges; the card is good for the entire time you’re staying in Jasper. Or take advantage of a wide range of optional activities (available at an additional charge) offered by the lodge, like golf on a world-class course that was literally carved out of the wilderness, fishing in the lake and horseback riding. Later this afternoon, a Jasper National Park official will share insights about the abundant wildlife of the park, complete with history, legends and lore that have been passed down for generations. Few things rev up your appetite quite like an outdoor barbecue; join us outside of the lodge tonight as we grill up a great dinner where the air is fragrant with aspen, fir, spruce and lodgepole pine. 4. MALIGNE CANYON AND RIVER RAFTING Check out cascading waterfalls, mysterious potholes, age-old fossils, lush plant life and towering limestone walls as you explore Maligne Canyon. One of the most beautiful gorges in the Rockies, it was created about 160 million years ago by churning waters as they swirled through the Palliser Formation, a layer of limestone once covered by a shallow sea. Gazing at its sheer walls – some plunging more than 150 feet – look for the ripple marks of ancient waves imprinted on the rocks, as well as
