7. HANDS-ON ARTISTRY & THE ART OF REJONEO In Seville, visit the riverside district of Triana, famous for its ceramics and pottery. Create your own prized piece of ceramic art at a workshop with local artisans. Then join us this evening for a very special Tauck Exclusive. We’ll take you to Hacienda El Vizir outside the city, where horses are trained in rejoneo, a style of bullfighting in which the matador fights the bull on horseback. Learn what it takes to train horses in this highly dangerous art, as horse and rider dance maneuvers designed to dodge a charging animal powerful enough to topple them both. This fantastic family tour ends with a farewell dinner that includes paella and a barbecue. Did somebody say olé? Meals BD

5. FROM THE ALCAZAR TO FLAMENCO Get an early entry to the Real Alcazar, a 12th-century Moorish palace full of ornate dwellings, reflecting pools, sunken gardens, and its most attractive feature for kids: a hedge maze. Tour the city on bicycles (Seville is flat and ideal for biking). You’ll see the Cathedral of Seville, the Giralda and the Parque Maria Luisa, arriving finally at a jaw-dropping architectural wonder, the Metropol Parasol. A honeycombed wooden structure (held together with glue!), the Parasol covers an open-air plaza of shops, terraces, and a gourmet food court where you’ll dine with panoramic views of the city. This evening, ride in a horse-drawn carriage to the Barrio Santa Cruz district and a museum dedicated to flamenco, a folkdance said to have originated here among Gypsies. Fluid, intense and dramatic, flamenco is prized in Seville. Kids get to learn the basics in a short class, followed by a dazzling performance by the instructors. Meals BL

6. WHERE THE BULLS ARE!

A story goes that during a bullfight in Seville in 1965, one particular bull showed such spirit and defiance in the ring that the spectators demanded he be pardoned. He lived out his days at a ranch, siring many prized bulls, and today you may get a look at some of his descendants on a visit to Finca Mirandilla
