1. ARRIVE ARUSHA, TANZANIA Tour departs: Kilimanjaro Int’l Airport. A transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arumeru River Lodge, set in gardens and located on a former coffee farm, is included. Get a good night’s rest so you can wake up refreshed and ready to embark on a full day of exciting African adventures in Kilimanjaro and Arusha national parks with your fellow expeditioners.
2. KILIMANJARO OR ARUSHA NATIONAL PARKS You have a choice of excursions today, both of which are fun for every age and generation of your family. You may opt to join us on a guided day hike up Mount Kilimanjaro on the Merengu Trail. Along the way you may see birds, monkeys and small antelope as they go about their daily activities. After hiking back down, we’ll introduce you to a member of the Chagga tribe who shares insights about her life here in Africa. She’ll even show you her home shared by many generations of her family!
