1. CIAO BELLA ROMA Tour begins: 4:00 PM, Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA. The “sweet life” begins with an included transfer from Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Fiumicino to Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA, overlooking Villa Borghese park. 2. GLADIATORS, CATACOMBS & THE VATICAN Get a morning’s view of the Roman Forum, the political and economic center of ancient Rome, before heading out along the Appian Way. Your first stop is Gladiator School, where you’ll not only get a fun introduction to ancient Roman history but also learn the essentials of fighting, gladiator style. Ever want to be a detective? You’ll get your chance when you learn all about the “secret language” of the early Christian symbols found throughout the underground tunnels of the Catacombs; take a look at frescoes and inscriptions that reveal...
