aricor® has many uses in rail
sanitaryware for onboard toilets and washroom facilities, where hygiene considerations are paramount. This sustainable material is shock and impact resistant and possesses antibacterial characteristics (standard plain white colours), it is resistant to water, moisture and almost all chemicals used in cleaning materials, including those for tough, ground in dirt and stains. The high density, non-porosity and
seamless gluing makes the material suitable for use in sanitarywear applications. Varicor®
is robust and resistant to high temperatures with flame retardant properties. The design benefit is that no glue joints
on cast units mean no grooves. Varicor is available in a range of standard colours plus customers’ own bespoke colours if required. If partial surface damage were to
occur, it can be repaired and made virtually invisible, says the manufacturer, by using a repair set available as part of the product range. Varicor is certified to CEN-TS 45545-2- 2009, DIN 54837-2007/5510-2009, NF-F16- 102, and BS 476: Part 7. The factory’s tool building department makes it possible to create nearly any three dimensional shape. Varicor®
is a homogeneous and fully
coloured mineral material. The formula consists of two thirds of the natural mineral filler aluminium hydroxide and one third of a resin on polyester. During the production process Varicor®
is liquid when the moulding takes place which allows a range of design concepts to be implemented. It is processed without any seams or joints, and it can match in with other materials such as wood, metal, glass and ceramics. Any mounting elements required, as
