over one hundred of these instruments. The MS AX monitors are mounted along the entire project to detect any possible movements on surrounding buildings. Railtex visitors will be able to view and discuss Topcon’s MS high precision motorised total station which offers ultimate accuracy for those projects where there can be no compromise on measured accuracy.

The GG-05 TMD (Track Measuring Device) is a measuring system for track measurement, construction and quality control of track geometry.
The goal was to develop a competitive, highly accurate, easy to use, lightweight and cost-accessible device for all common tasks on the tracks associated with the determination of geometric parameters.
Applications for the GG-05 include the re- alignment/maintenance of existing rail tracks, track geometry (cant and gauge) analysis and rail topographic survey.
TopNET live UK TopNET live is Topcon’s restructured GNSS network, which brings together its strategy for global GNSS services. These offer subscription based, high quality real- time GNSS network RTK and DGNSS correction data for many different applications including surveying, construction, GIS mapping, machine control, and precision agriculture.
Mobile mapping
Mobile mapping can accurately map large areas very quickly. To achieve this Topcon offers its IP-S2 mobile mapping system to overcome the challenges of mapping
3D features at a high level of accuracy. This is achieved using a combination of Lidar scanners and 360 degree panoramic digital imagery. Accurate remote positions are obtained using three integrated technologies; dual frequency GNSS receiver, inertial measurement units (IMU) and external wheel encoders to obtain odometric information. These three technologies work together to sustain a highly accurate 3D position for the vehicle even in locations where satellite signals can be blocked by obstructions such as buildings, bridges, or tree lines.
All this can be done on the move at normal driving speeds, negating the need for road closures and traffic management. Topcon Europe Positioning is exhibiting at Railtex on stand D11. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the rail solutions available and discuss them with its team of experienced and qualified surveying, monitoring and technical staff.
