SHOW GUIDE MECCANO


Meccano will be introducing its new Evolution range. It uses traditional Meccano components to build even more realistic models. Real working


components include jacks, gears and pistons that enable fluid and realistic movements. Models evolve as users progress through the range, building ever more complex creations. There are five models, including three entry level, one mid range, and the most technically advanced in the line, the Evolution Helicopter.


CHARACTER OPTIONS


Character will grow its Bin Weevils collection further in 2013 with a number of new figures, Bin Bots and smaller play-sets. These will join the existing Deluxe Nest Play-set, while further creative play items and plush are also planned.


Construct-A-Bugz will welcome electronic battle bugz, collectable micro figurines and


constructable play-sets, while the firm will also look to capitalise on its Doctor Wholine – especially as the property is


celebrating its 50th anniversary. The Blingles brand is set to double in size with new


themed packs and the arrival of Blingles Glimmer. Slushy Magic is another


newcomer, with Character


presenting the Slushy Magic Freeze and Squeeze.


The firm will also continue to develop its pre- school line-up, including new additions to Postman Pat; a theme park take on Peppa

Pig; new play-sets for Mike the Knight; plus additions to Fireman Sam. Finally, the arrival of Looney Tunes to the portfolio will see Character roll out a number of products including Senso Touch Plush, with advanced interactive features that react to the


lightest of touches and make the character call out their most famous phrases.


Scooby-Doo will also have a whole new look for 2013, with the


introduction of the Trap Time theme.

On top of this, Meccano will also be unveiling the latest additions to Gears of War, Sonic the Hedgehog and Rabbids. For the first time, the brand is venturing into the blind bag market, with a collection of six Gears of War figures. Rabbids and Sonic will also introduce new characters and vehicles.

and celebrity face mask manufacturer, Star Cutouts is enjoying a period of rapid growth thanks to high profile licences including Star Wars, Doctor Whoand Disney brands.


Since its inception in 2003 in a one-room office, Star Cutouts now occupies a 12,000 sq ft


manufacturing unit, with further premises planned to open


in 2013 to cope with increased demand. Disney


characters in the firm’s portfolio include


Mickey Mouse and friends, Aladdin, Cars, Toy Story,


Disney Princess, Winnie the Pooh and The Muppets, while it is also enjoying success with its Star Wars and Clone Warslife- size cutouts.


MOOKIE


Mookie will be launching The Hiveinteractive play-sets at the show.


In addition, it will unveil the 5-in-1 Trikon, which is a multi-functional wheeled toy for pre-schoolers.


It has three core modes and transforms from a trike, to a balance bike, to a scooter. New accessories and collections will also expand the Pillow Pets line.
