Marbel is keen to build on the success it enjoyed in 2012, with three brands joining its portfolio: Bullyland, Pink Poppy and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home plush. Bullyland has been designing and producing figurines from its HQ in Germany since 1973, with its aim being to stimulate and encourage children to learn about the world around them. The firm also has the Disney licence and Marbel will introducing new


products to retailers later on this year. Pink Poppy is an


Australian business which specialises in contemporary children’s gift, toy and novelty products. Aimed at three to nine year old girls, the firm’s collection features fairies,


ballerinas, mermaids and butterflies, with items including jewellery, hair accessories, dress-ups and bags. There are also themed fashion ranges and seasonal gifts.


As part of an expanding licensing programme from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Marbel will be showing its range of plush toys for the first time at Toy Fair. Alongside the new brands being launched, Marbel will be introducing over 180 new products from existing brands such as Brio, Hape, WWF plush, Deglingos, Makedo, nanoblock, Ein-O Science and Meadow Kids.

SPIN MASTER


Building on its impressive performance in 2012, R/C property Air Hogs will introduce the Sky Stunt Plane and a rocket launcher in the spring. These will join top selling Wind Flyers and the Vectron Wave. Spin Master will also be launching a new girls brand in the spring, alongside the Zoobles Princess range – the fashion doll line, La Dee Da, features Dee and her BFFs, with each girl coming with a range of fashions and accessories. There will also be a new concept for Tech Deck, Build- a-Ramp, plus new Neon Ramps with a glow in the dark board and refreshed basic boards featuring new graphics, shapes and the on- trend Penny Boards. Disney Hedbanz will also


arrive in the spring, while the Monsters Inctoy range will include 12-inch Peek-a-Boo Boo Doll and Huggable Boo


RAINBOW DESIGNS


Busy Rainbow Designs will be introducing new lines to its The Adventures of Abney & Teal line. These will include Wooden Dominoes and the Feature Neep Plush, which makes a variety of ‘neep neep’ sounds when squeezed, such as a ‘happy neep’ and a ‘confused neep’. Visitors to the stand will


also get a preview of the firm’s autumn/winter launches which include Abney, Teal and Neep Wooden Push-Ups, while Abney & Teal Racing Poc Pocs are also due. Also new will be the

Bear range of pre-school toys. This will feature bean toys, a four-in-one jigsaw puzzle with stickers, a 48-piece jigsaw puzzle with stickers and a plush Paddington. The Good Toy Guide will be making its debut at Toy Fair in January. After great feedback since the site went live in September 2012, the team is hoping to make a splash with its official launch at noon on Tuesday January 22nd. VIPs, press and companies that have products in the Guide will be invited to a champagne reception (with ToyNews and The Entertainer being sponsors) and will meet the new ‘face’ of the Good Toy Guide.


The Guide will also be offering free, bookable
