GEN42

For over 12 years Gen42 has been designing and publishing games that stimulate the senses as well as giving the brain a good old-fashioned workout. Its line of board-less

strategic and tactical games have a satisfying, hefty feel to the pieces, making a lovely sound when handled. Each of their board-less games includes a good quality bag so that the game can be taken and played anywhere. The quality of the components is only surpassed by the quality of the gameplay, says Gen42. The company’s success at an international level is largely

due to its award winning product ‘Hive’, a chess-like game that plays in under 20 minutes. To date the Hive product range includes two main games, Hive and Hive Carbon, as well as travel version Hive Pocket and the two expansions for the game: The Mosquito and The Ladybug. There are also two digital versions available for iPhone and for Xbox 360, with an Android app in development. 2013 will be the ninth
