digital cinema cameras is designed to power the cameras but also multiple accessories. The system will not only

provide 7.2v of power to the camera via a DC connector, but also 14.4v on three PowerTap connectors.

“Users can expect the same

secure battery connection they’ve come to rely on with other Gold Mounts using the QRC-CA940,” says Shin Minowa, vice president of marketing and business development, Anton/Bauer.

“This new Gold Mount, however, will offer three PowerTap outputs where typically we only have one, allowing professionals to power multiple accessories. “In addition, this particular Gold Mount was designed so that users will not have to monitor multiple batteries, therefore reducing downtime in the field, as well as the number

The QRC-CA940 is

compatible with the company’s mounting bracket for 15mm or 19mm rod systems and the Matrix Cheese Plate. It can also be adapted to third-party support systems (15mm or 19mm clamp kits sold separately). 11.E55

Audio codec scores goals

Systembase By David Davies

IBC2012 provides an

opportunity for Systembase to reflect on an especially high- profile recent outing for its C510ip audio codecs, which were used extensively during the Euro 2012 football tournament by worldwide transmission service provider GlobeCast.

A significant number of C510ip devices were employed to stream audio over IP, delivering live commentary and coordination circuits between the International Broadcast Centres located in Poland and Ukraine, and the ITV Sports studios in London.

Reflecting on this historic

project, Systembase Technical Director, Andrew Steward, commented: “It was satisfying to hear that our customers were impressed by the sustained performance and reliability of the C510ip Codecs operating over international IP circuits during the entire duration of Euro 2012. It’s further proof that it is feasible to use IP in place of the traditional ISDN lines, providing you have the right codecs for the job.” 8.E93
