Featuring its widely- deployed Swift range of subtitling and closed captioning solutions as well as its versatile interactive TV platform, MediaSphere, is Softel.
The Swift range of
products is, says Softel, optimised for next- generation file-based workflows and supports subtitling and closed
captioning for multi-platform delivery, across multi- language feeds and in a complete variety of file formats. Swift Create is claimed to be the market leading subtitle and closed caption tool which, as well as efficiently creating files, can also be used to convert from one format to another, making repurposing straightforward. Broadpeak’s operatorCDN and +screensCDN solutions in delivering a superior quality of service.
The first new solution to be launched is designed to help content providers allocate the ideal CDN for their content according to various criteria such as content format, end- user location, content provider, or time of day.
The enhanced BkM100 includes what Broadpeak describes as an advanced caching mechanism that optimises storage at edge levels, combining the best of both the IPTV and OTT worlds. In addition, the BkM100 features a new system for managing content based on its importance. Using the new content priority management tool, users can prioritise pay and free content in order to distribute CDN video services more efficiently. Broadpeak is also
demonstrating its BkA100 video delivery analytics solution, which

Divine distribution is here
Clear-Com By Monica Heck
Clear-Com has expanded its partnership with Optocore/ BroaMan and is now distributing the new BroaMan Divine V3R-FX-ICOM-SDI. Unveiled to the broadcast market for the first time at the show, the new BroaMan Divine V3R-FX-ICOMSDI is described as ideal for any set-up that requires multiple feeds of high-quality audio, video, data and intercom. The Divine V3R-FX-ICOM-
SDI provides scalable, protocol-independent routing, repeating, transport and distribution of multiple signals

over optical fibre and is equipped with 4 four-wire RJ45 matrix ports and 4 four- wire RJ45 panel ports. This ensures that either matrices or intercom panels can be connected to the unit using standard CAT cables. Users can send audio and control data from Clear-Com key panels or matrices transparently through the optical network.
The unit is capable of housing up to six SD/HD/3G- SDI coaxial video inputs, or outputs that are converted to and from single-mode Divine optical fibre links.
In addition to the Divine V3R-FX-ICOM-SDI, Clear- Com also distributes the Optocore V3R-FX-Intercom and Optocore X6R-FX- Intercom interfaces. 10.D29a
provided by Swift ReSync, which is said to combine the most powerful subtitling and closed captioning
workstation with the most state-of-the-art audio analysis logic from partner Nexidia and is available in two forms. Swift ReSync TiGo automatically assigns timecodes to reduce subtitle and closed caption costs, allowing the operator to focus on text manipulation. Swift ReSync Enterprise is a client-server based solution that automates the timing of subtitles and closed captions, allowing for batch operations. Both radically
the company claims improves an operator’s system management and quality of service dramatically by providing meaningful data to the entire organisation in a variety of formats. New features include a logged response time from various modules in the network (eg front office, cable resource manager and so on), an increased number of dashboards including map views, and personalised user profiles. Harnessing the new user profile functionality, a content provider can access customised statistics, maximising video delivery analytics for operator CDN applications.
The company is also unveiling
a ‘revolutionary’ new technology that leverages home networks to dramatically reduce the number of pieces of equipment deployed in the operators’ network. As a result, says Broadpeak, content operators can more efficiently deliver video services to end users. 4.B72

Archiving systems plus automation
Cache-A By Carolyn Giardina
As media and entertainment companies continue to be challenged by archiving in the digital age, Cache-A is showcasing its lineup of archiving appliances, including its desktop Prime-Cache, flagship Pro- Cache5, high-performance Power-Cache, and Library 24/48 automation systems. In an effort to simplify workflow, this year Cache-A has also integrated its line of appliances with various storage systems including SANs from Facilis, Studio Network Solutions
and StorNext, and NAS systems from Archion. Additionally, all of Cache-A’s LTO-5 based products deliver LTFS capability. Cache-A’s Prime-Cache, Pro- Cache5 and Power-Cache are developed to manage archives of hundreds of Terabytes of data. Each appliance has a built-in catalogue database, and archives are made on LTO-5 tape cartridges using the LTFS file system or tar format. Library24/Library48 automation systems work with Pro-Cache and Power-Cache models to automate cartridge loading. They offer near-line archival capacity of up to 72TB (Library48) or 36TB (Library24). 7.E06
