Bossong-Werk GmbH was founded in Germany in 1937 as a producer of automotive components but in 1962 the company was acquired by the Taddei family and firmly established as an Italian fixings manufacturer and supplier.

During the Seventies the construction of a new factory in Curno allows development of the Bossong range - mechanical anchors for medium loads, nylon plugs and screws for light fixing - through a combination of import and internal production. The following decade saw production increasingly concentrated internally on machines created by Bossong technicians. Design and product development also became an important in-house capability.
