Become an astronomer and view the night sky. Children will learn about the differences and similarities between refractor and reflector telescopes. Each participant will construct a small basic refractor telescope. A short Star Show will be presented using Starry Night Pro software. With good seeing weather, students will use tablet computers and other technology tools to control an Internet accessible telescope to view Saturn, Mars, Altair, Arcturus, Antares, Spica and Vega.
