Boys and girls showcase their ability in pitching, hitting and base running. Winners from each age group qualify for the sectional level competition which takes place mid-May to early June. Participants must provide a copy of a valid birth certificate or baptismal record for age verification upon registering. Age:

The Downers Grove Park District, in cooperation with the Village of Downers Grove, presents this annual run through the scenic residential


streets of Downers Grove. A CARA Certified Race, this USATF certified, five-mile, rolling course, is well marked and monitored and includes two water stations. The first 500 registrants receive a technical racing shirt. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, call Michelle Pusateri at 630.963.1300.


Entry forms are available online, at the Lincoln Center and the Recreation Center. The deadline for pre-race registration is Tuesday, June 19 at 4:00 pm.


RACE PACKET PICK-UP Race packets for pre-registered runners will be available Friday, June 22 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and Saturday, June 23 from 9:00 am - noon at Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Avenue. Runners who wish to pick up their packet on Friday or Saturday must register by 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 19.

Sponsored by Babich and Associates Financial Services Reel in three hours of family fun at the Annual Fishing Derby. Prizes are awarded for the shortest and the longest fish caught by each age level. The Downers Grove Moose Rod and Gun Club and the Downers Grove Park District co-sponsor this annual event. A fishing license is required for participants 16 years and up. Licenses can be purchased at Bass Pro Shop, Wal-Mart or Sports Authority. Register at Barth Pond on the day of the derby. Location: Patriots Park/Barth Pond Date
