Paradise Bay Water Park
The Paradise Bay Water park features: A zero-depth tot pool, 8-lane lap pool, bowl slide, high dive, low dive, drop slide, body slide and a leisure pool with fountains, spouts, water cannons, mazes, a bubble bench, a waterwalk and vortex.

With small class sizes, children get the maximum attention from their swim instructor(s). The children will be tested on the first day of class and assigned to a group and they will stay with that group until all skills at that level have been mastered. Swim Lesson Coordinators will assess skills and children will be promoted to the next level when needed. The DGSRC program is geared to teach all levels of swimming from putting your face in the water to learning all four competitive strokes.

Lessons will run at any temperature. The descision to cancel swim lessons is made within 5 minutes of the start of each class. In the event that there are questions about weather, pool closings or emergency shut-downs, please check the twitter page @DGSRCswimlesson. The page will be updated only if a decision to cancel has been made. Participants will not be notified of a cancellation by phone or email. No refunds will be granted once a session has begun. There are no weather-related make-up classses. Any other make-up classes will be arranged at the discretion of DGSRC swim lesson coordinator and DGSRC Board.

The first step in purchasing a pass is resident verification. Bring a driver’s license, a property tax or utility bill to the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road or Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Ave. Staff will verify your residency in the Downers Grove Park District and give you a confirmation letter. The participating aquatic facility will use that confirmation letter to issue your summer pass.
