Sedum (Stonecrop) These easy-to-grow, long-lived perennials are drought-tolerant with thick, succulent, waxy leaves and fleshy stems. Their starry flowers are borne in domed or flat clusters. Spent flowers provide nice winter interest. Cut back early each spring.

Solidago (goldenrod) The brilliant yellow flowers of goldenrod are appear in the late season garden. They do not cause hayfever as they are sometimes accused. Easy to grow in good garden soil and full sun. Disease and insect problems are rare.
