A sport of H. ‘Halcyon’, the 6 inch long, pointed oval leaves have gold centers and chalky blue-green margins with streaks of green tones between. Foliage has thick substance and good pest resistance. The light centers will bleach to creamy-white in bright light. Bears pale lavender flowers. This hosta originally brought from Japan is easily identified by its graceful, vase-like plant habit. Thick, corrugated leaves 13 inches long by 10 inches wide have deep blue-green centers (more powdery-blue than ‘Fran- ces Williams’) and wide gold margins. In spring the margins emerge pale green, turning gold- en later than ‘Frances Williams’, thus nearly eliminating the problem of spring burn which can be a problem with ‘Frances Williams’.
