Bergenia (Saxifrage, Pigsqueak) These clump-forming perennials have bold, leathery, dark green evergreen foliage that takes on hues of bronze and burgundy in fall and winter. Flower clusters on long stems ap- pear in spring. A good rock garden, border or ground cover plant. Prefers moist, well- drained soil and partial shade in hot areas.

Brunnera (Siberian Bugloss) These shade-loving perennials produce airy clouds of sky-blue, forget-me-not-like, ¼ inch fl owers that nearly cover small heart-shaped leaves in early spring. Foliage expands as the fl owers fade, forming attractive foliage accent plants. Plants are cold-tolerant and fl ourish in moist, well-drained, acidic soils.

Campanula (Bellfl ower or Harebell) A diverse group that includes both low-growers for rock gardens and edgings to tall plants useful for borders and cutfl owers. All prefer moist, well- drained soil. No special care is required other than deadheading to prolong bloom.
