Helenium (Sneezeweed) Also called Helen’s Flower. These easily grown and heavy fl owering North American natives bring bright color to the summer and fall garden. Though the common name implies an allergic reaction, it actually refers to the use of the dried leaves as a snuff substitute. Plants produce daisy-like 2 to 3 inch fl owers and dark green lance-shaped foliage. Plant in any average, well-drained soil.
