03388–(45-55 Day)–Old-time German favorite. The German name for this radish is OstergruB rosa 2, so we asked for a translation and were told it meant Spring Greetings or Easter radish and that it’s a lo- cal, good old German type. The bright, pinkish-red roots are harvested when they are about 8 inches long. The fresh, crisp white fl esh has a spicy fl avor that makes it suitable as a beer radish. It’s much more tol- erant to heat that other radishes, so can be sown from spring to autumn or even in a glasshouse during early spring.
