SUGARY ENHANCED (se) HYBRIDS SPRING TREAT

Sugary Enhanced varieties (designated se) have a gene that increas- es tenderness and sweetness. The result is a sweet, creamy and ten- der kernel with a longer harvest period. Varieties designated se are hy- brids that have se and su parents (a term called heterozygous). Some varieties are designated se+ (or homozygous) which means they have two se parents for an increased degree of sweetness. Sugary en- hanced varieties do not require isolation from normal (su) sweet corn.
