FCT Assembly to Present Solder Paste and Stencil Technologies
Milpitas, CA — FCT Assembly is pre- senting its new line of no-clean, halo- gen-free solder pastes along with its latest stencil technologies. NL930PT is a no-clean, lead-free, halide-free pin- probable solder paste. The paste has a clear residue, that can consistently print down to low surface area ratios. Another product, NL932 is a no-
clean, lead-free, halide-free solder paste with excellent solderability, enabling the process to handle the most difficult wetting requirements. The lead-free paste offers excellent print consistency with high process capability index across all board designs, as well as excellent wetting characteristics on all pad finishes. WS888 is the company’s newest
lead-free water-soluble solder paste. The paste provides excellent wetting on all surface finishes with consistent printing down to low surface area ratios and can be run in 30-65 percent relative humidity without slumping. The company’s WS159 water-
soluble solder paste offers best-in- class solder spread and wetting. It also results print volume consistency down to 12mm circles and IPC 7095 Class III resistance to voiding using both straight ramp and soak reflow profiles. WS159 is fully cleanable, with the widest cleaning process win- dow in its class. SN100C Bar Solder is used in thousands of wave solder- ing machines around the world and has proven its reliability in products
EVS Bows Lead-Free Filtration & Recovery
Newport, UK — EVS International’s new High Solids Filtration System on the Lead-Free EVS 7000 dramatically increases air flow and dust/smoke cap- ture, which is especially important with some lead-free fluxes, while maintaining the small footprint of the new four-wheel steerable cart with its pull-out service drawer. The system is complete with an LED monitoring sys- tem that shows a green light for nor- mal running, an amber light when 75 percent of the combination filter is used and a red light when the combi- nation filter should be changed. With its simplicity of operation
and high recovery rates, the EVS 7000LFHS system provides fast ROI and pure solder quality. The Solder Recovery system also improves the process by reducing shorts, bridging, and rework, significantly improving wave solder machine productivity, cleanliness and lowering pump main- tenance and downtime. These signif- icant benefits enhance any electron- ics manufacturing company’s ability to attain and retain the corporate environmental standard, ISO 14001. Contact: EVS International,

exposed to the most severe service environments. The solder provides: low drossing; low copper erosion; shiny finish; easiest maintenance of all lead-free alloys; joint reliability at least equal to that of Sn63/Pb37; over 1.5 billion products assembled using SN100C with no known defects. from Fine Line Stencil is its new UltraSlic™ Stencil with Nano- Coating — a high-performance sten- cil technology that has become the preferred choice when printing assemblies with challenging minia- ture components. The addition of a
permanent, hydrophobic nano-coat- ing to the stencil foil minimizes sol- der paste’s ability to stick to the sten- cil apertures and to the bottom side of the foil. And there’s up to a 10X increase in the number of prints before the need to clean the stencil, as well as successful printing at sur- face area ratios below 0.45. Contact: FCT Assembly 675
