Richmond, VA — Weidmuller has expanded its marking systems print- ing capabilities with the addition of the new MCP Basic Plotter. This lat- est generation plotter complements the company’s MultiCard identifica- tion markers for terminal blocks, wires, cables and other electrical equipment. The MCP Basic features are
similar to the MCP Plus Plotter® it uses plotter technology, is compati- ble with MultiCard marker formats, and works in conjunction with the company’s dynamic M-Print Pro® software. Lighter and smaller than the MCP Plus, the new unit is portable. It comes with a travel case for easy transport and storage, mak- ing it an appropriate choice for users with low volume or on-site printing requirements. Easy and quick to operate, the
TDK-EPC: Capacitor Contactors
Iselin, NJ — TDK-EPC, a group com- pany of TDK Corporation, has devel- oped a new capacitor contactor for switching powers of 80kVAR. It sup- plements the previous series for pow- ers of 12.5, 20, 25, 33, 50, 75 and 100kVAR, enabling more cost-effec- tive PFC solutions to be implement- ed in specific configurations. Use of a 100kVAR contactor or parallel con- nection of lower powers is no longer required. The new 80kVAR contactor
offers the same advantages and tech- nical properties as the other types of
compact and lightweight MCP Basic satisfies the needs of low-to medium- volume users who print smaller quantities of markers. In addition to
printing full or half cards as required by other printing systems, the unit also prints partial MultiCards. Its special positioning frame can hold up to three MultiCard types at a time and, when used in conjunction with an optional wire marker inlay or frame, can effortlessly print over 160 MultiCard varieties. An optional MCP-Label positioning frame makes it easy to transition from printing custom tags and markers to printing paper and polyester labels. The MCP Basic easily connects

The plotter also includes a universal power pack (110/240VAC, 50-60Hz), software CD, cables, frame, marking pen and man- uals for both the hardware and soft- ware.
