Senior Process Engineer Manassas, VA — Zestron has promoted Jigar Patel to Senior Process Engineer. He has served as an Application Engineer at the company for almost five years, and has shown that he is more than capable of taking on the greater responsibilities of a senior process engineer. Mr. Patel graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engi-


neering from Shivaji University, India and holds a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Prior to joining Zestron, he worked as a Chemical Engineer at KC Jones Plating, Co., in Hazel Park, MI. As an active member of various industry organizations such as the IPC


and SMTA, Mr. Patel has presented a number of technical papers at educa- tional events concurrent with trade association conventions and expos.


Taiyo Promotes John Fix to


Sales & Marketing Director Carson City, NV — Taiyo has promoted John Fix to Manager & Director of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, John will work closely with Taiyo’s sales force to retain its strong hold on the North American market and to grow its European market, as well as sales in other areas. John has a BS in Biology and a Masters Degree in Business Marketing.


He started in the Printed Circuit Board Industry in 1992 as a solder mask Formulating Chemist at Morton and later was an Applications Engineer at Ciba. John joined Taiyo in November of 2000 and has held the OEM/Technical Service Manager position until recently making great strides in gaining mar- ket share in Europe by creating relationships and building a strong founda- tion of distributors.

ACE Appoints Ryan Tiemann

Colonial Circuits Names Mike Tucker


Director of Engineering Fredericksburg, VA — Colonial Circuits has hired Mike Tucker to fill the posi- tion of Director of Engineering. In his new position, Mr. Tucker will report directly to Jim Pierce, Colonial’s Operations Manager. He will be responsible for the overall effectiveness and productivity of the engineering department. He will be responsible for keeping the company up to date when it comes to current and new technologies, as well as working closely with customers to provide technical support. Mr. Tucker has held a number of key positions with prominent printed


circuit board providers including Eagle Electronics, Waytec and most recent- ly P.D. Circuits.
