The North West
A brilliant offer is key to ensuring that young people have enough opportunities to access the best education and that’s why they’re working with great partners to make it happen.
A new University of Cumbria campus in Barrow will help to attract and retain some 1,400 talented graduates per year for the area through a range of degree-level and post graduate programmes ranging from digital and cyber security to project management, supply chain and logistics. There will be a further 300 at an expanded and upgraded facility at a Furness College site.
Full planning permission is in place for the striking campus building which has been inspired by Barrow’s location and famed
industrial history with completion expected in late 2024.
