in the UK.Since January 1st 2023, searches for ‘office space rental’ have increased by 65.95% compared to the same period in 2022, while ‘office rental space’ increased by 34.5% and ‘office space to rent in London’ has increased by a huge 166.32%. US real estate investor VCM Global Asset Management announces its acquisition of Orchard Brae House for GBP18.6 mllion. The acquisition bucks the current UK investor trend of shying away from commercial property in a recession. Orchard Brae House is an 105,000 sq ft five-story office building in the west end of city centre of Edinburgh, which is strong high-barrier-to-entry market that can be slightly overlooked by real estate investors who prefer London or other large regional markets such as Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
