the North West Promotions in Property at Burnetts

“This is a fantastic opportunity for a refocus on our specialist property services and to allow five incredibly talented individuals to manage their teams designed specifically around these sectors,” says Richard. “I will continue to look after my existing clients, but am hugely excited about overseeing the development of our property services to the next level.”

Robbie Mather and Helen Hayward, both Partners with Burnetts, will be heads of Commercial Property. This is an area which continues to grow for the firm and where recent appointments have created one of the largest teams in the North of England outside of Manchester.

“There is a great buzz in our department at the moment and the restructure gives us the perfect opportunity to re-examine the way we work and how we can add even more value to our client service,” says Helen Hayward.

T

he continued expansion of property-related legal work at Burnetts has driven a restructure and created new opportunities for five members of the team.

Richard Miller continues in his role as Head of Property under the new structure overseeing the four teams: Agribusiness, Banking, Commercial Property and Residential Conveyancing. The teams will be headed up by:

Joanne McKenzie – Agribusiness Sarah Willshire - Banking Helen Hayward & Robbie Mather – Commercial Property Kathryn Hill – Residential Conveyancing

The MintWorks - business centre in South Lakes

“We now have the size and capability within our team to attract new clients and to serve our existing customers at a market leading level as the go-to commercial property team within the region,” says Robbie Mather.

With the restructure, Sarah Willshire will now be Head of Banking, overseeing the dedicated team for this sector within the region. Kathryn Hill will continue as Head of Conveyancing leading the continued expansion of the department. Joanne McKenzie takes over leadership of the largest Agribusiness team in Cumbria.

“All five heads have strong local connections and excellent reputations with clients and peers,” says Richard, “and we’re all excited about the possibilities of this new structure.”
